Find and rank open German government datasets, build catalogue statistics with CKAN facets, and harvest downloadable resources into a manifest — all over the open, key-free GovData CKAN API via the govdata-cli.

Install

  1. Install the govdata CLI:

    npm i -g @maschinenlesbar.org/govdata-cli

  2. Add the marketplace (once):

    /plugin marketplace add maschinenlesbar-org/plugins

  3. Install the plugin:

    /plugin install govdata@maschinenlesbar

    Produce statistics and breakdowns over Germany's open-data catalogue using the govdata-cli's facet support. Trigger when the user asks "which organizations publish the most datasets about Verkehr?", "what file formats dominate the catalogue?", "the licence landscape on GovData", "how many datasets does destatis have?", "datasets per theme", or wants counts/rankings/aggregations rather than a list of individual datasets. Uses CKAN facets via the generic action escape hatch and cleans up the messy facet values.

Trigger when the user asks "find datasets about air quality on GovData", "what open data is there on Verkehr / Haushalt / Klima?", "newest datasets from destatis", "is there CSV data on X I can download?", or wants a ranked, deduped briefing of catalogue hits with publishers, formats, real licences and download links — not the raw CKAN search JSON.

  • /govdata:govdata-resource-harvest

    Collect the downloadable files (distributions) for a topic or publisher from the GovData catalogue into a clean download manifest, using the govdata-cli. Trigger when the user asks "get me all the CSVs about Haushalt", "download links for destatis transport data", "harvest the GeoJSON files on flood maps", "build a list of files I can fetch for X", or wants direct download URLs + format + size across many datasets rather than browsing one dataset at a time.
