Browse, map and compare regional-statistics indicators for Germany — by Bundesland, Regierungsbezirk, Kreis or Gemeinde — from the Regionalatlas Deutschland of the Statistische Ämter des Bundes und der Länder, via the regionalatlas-cli.

Install

  1. Install the regionalatlas CLI:

    npm i -g @maschinenlesbar.org/regionalatlas-cli

  2. Add the marketplace (once):

    /plugin marketplace add maschinenlesbar-org/plugins

  3. Install the plugin:

    /plugin install regionalatlas@maschinenlesbar

    Browse the Regionalatlas Deutschland indicator catalogue (Statistische Ämter des Bundes und der Länder) using the regionalatlas-cli. Trigger when the user asks "what regional statistics are available?", "which indicators are there for population / elections / environment?", "find the code for Bevölkerungsstand", "which years does this indicator cover?", or wants to discover the themes and indicator codes before pulling data. Lists the 21 themes and the 70 indicators with their codes, titles and year ranges, and resolves a topic to an indicator code.

    Compare a Regionalatlas Deutschland indicator across specific regions using the regionalatlas-cli. Trigger when the user asks "compare Bayern and Sachsen on indicator X", "how does this Kreis rank against the others?", "value for Berlin vs Hamburg vs Bremen", "which Bundesland has the highest / lowest X?", or wants a few named regions (or a single one) picked out and set side by side. Fetches the indicator at the right level and filters to the regions of interest.

    Fetch a Regionalatlas Deutschland indicator for every region at a chosen level (Bundesland, Regierungsbezirk, Kreis or Gemeinde) using the regionalatlas-cli. Trigger when the user asks "show indicator X for all Bundesländer", "population density per Kreis", "map this indicator across Germany", "give me the values by Landkreis for 2022", or wants one row per region for a year. Runs the data query, maps the geo level to the right typ, and returns ags + name + values per region.
