Brief the German Foreign Office's travel and safety advice for a trip, rank every country currently under a warning, and diff warnings over time — all over the open, key-free Auswärtiges Amt travel-warning API via the reisewarnungen-cli.

Install

  1. Install the reisewarnungen CLI:

    npm i -g @maschinenlesbar.org/reisewarnungen-cli

  2. Add the marketplace (once):

    /plugin marketplace add maschinenlesbar-org/plugins

  3. Install the plugin:

    /plugin install reisewarnungen@maschinenlesbar

    Give a plain-language travel-safety briefing for one or more countries using the reisewarnungen-cli (official Auswärtiges Amt advice). Trigger when the user asks "is it safe to travel to X?", "travel warning for Thailand?", "what does the Foreign Office say about Egypt?", "I'm going to Kenya and Tanzania, any warnings?", or wants the German government's current advice for a trip. Resolves country names to content ids, classifies the warning level, and distils the long HTML advisory into the parts a traveller acts on — not the raw JSON.

    Produce a ranked overview of every country currently under a German travel warning, using the reisewarnungen-cli (Auswärtiges Amt advice). Trigger when the user asks "which countries have a travel warning?", "where does Germany warn against travel?", "list all full travel warnings", "show warned countries in Africa", "how many countries are warned right now?", or wants the global / a regional picture. Aggregates and ranks the flat country list by severity and groups it the way the bare CLI doesn't.

  • /reisewarnungen:reisewarnungen-watch

    Track changes in German travel warnings over time using the reisewarnungen-cli (Auswärtiges Amt advice). Trigger when the user asks "what travel warnings changed since last week?", "diff today's warnings against this snapshot", "which countries had their advice updated recently?", "alert me to new travel warnings", "did the warning for X change?", or wants monitoring / a snapshot diff rather than a one-off lookup. Saves a dated snapshot and compares two to surface newly-warned, lifted, and freshly-updated countries.
