Install

  1. Install the tagesschau CLI:

    npm i -g @maschinenlesbar.org/tagesschau-cli

  2. Add the marketplace (once):

    /plugin marketplace add maschinenlesbar-org/plugins

  3. Install the plugin:

    /plugin install tagesschau@maschinenlesbar

    Produce a ranked German-news briefing from ARD-aktuell's Tagesschau feed using the tagesschau-cli. Trigger when the user asks "what's the news in Germany?", "give me a Tagesschau briefing", "top headlines right now", "what's happening in [wirtschaft/sport/ausland]?", "morning news digest", or wants a quick read-out of current German headlines. Merges the curated homepage with topic (Ressort) feeds, leads with breaking news, groups by topic, and drops duplicates — not the raw nested JSON the CLI returns.

  • /tagesschau:tagesschau-regional

    Get regional German news for one or more Bundesländer by name using the tagesschau-cli. Trigger when the user asks "news from Bayern", "what's happening in NRW?", "regional news for Berlin and Hamburg", "Sachsen headlines", or names any German federal state. Resolves state names to the API's numeric region ids, queries the (region-filtered) news feed, and labels each headline by state — handling the id mapping and the Ressort/region trap the bare CLI leaves to you.

    Track how much and how recently Tagesschau is covering a topic, person, or keyword using the tagesschau-cli full-text search. Trigger when the user asks "what is Tagesschau saying about a topic?", "how much coverage does a topic get?", "latest news on a person or event", "search Tagesschau for a keyword", "is a topic in the news?", or wants a timeline of coverage. Runs paged search, reports the total hit count, sorts results newest-first, and separates articles from video.

  • /tagesschau:tagesschau-watch-live

    List the Tagesschau live and broadcast channels and their stream URLs using the tagesschau-cli. Trigger when the user asks "is the Tagesschau livestream on?", "stream URL for tagesschau24", "what channels does Tagesschau have?", "give me the m3u8 / HLS link", "watch tagesschau live", "tagesschau in Einfacher Sprache / Gebärdensprache stream", or wants the linear/streaming programme feeds. Pulls the channels feed and hands back playable stream links.
